Scoobydoo Rotorheads f/Vario Chinook : SD-CHINOOK
These are modified rotorheads that have been customised to fit the Vario Chinook helicopter.
They are different from Align standard in the following ways
- Main rotor housing, this has been machined down to accept the 15mm collar that retains the rain dome and drilled through the top so the main shaft can slide straight through. It has also been sleeved so that if fits the 10mm rotorshaft on the Chinook exactly
- Feathering Spindles, these have been drilled out to allow 7mm to allow PTFE sleeve to be fitted as they will be moving a great deal now they flap
- The feathering shaft retaining screws have been reduced slightly in diameter to make a free fit in the PTFE lining
- A top cap has been made to cover the main shaft where it protudes through the rotorhub
- Very thin sleeves have been made to increase the diameter of the feathering spindles to give optimum amount of flap with the associated O ring dampers
